Hive

JTD are thrilled to be working with State of Emergency to create a new work all about bees.

A large scale participatory performance, ‘Hive’ will work with children from Bannerman Road school, Kinesis youth dance and JTD company members to make a performance for Bristol Food Connections Festival on Saturday 2 May.

Collaborating with playwright and poet Dr Edson Burton and Carnival Artist Ruth Ramsey, ‘Hive’ is a honeypot of dance, costume and jeopardy that matches an evil, honey stealing Bee Bot against our Hive. Can the bees save the honey? Will there be flowers this summer? Can our queen out flounce the bee machine?

Join us at Bristol Food Connections on Saturday 2 May, times tbc.

Supported by State of Emergency and Bristol City Council.
